How to Move Music from Audiomack and Boomplay to Your SD Card: A Complete Guide

When you download a song for "Offline Play," Android stores it in a specific directory. We are going to use Cx File Explorer to find it.


 1. Open **Cx File Explorer**.
 2. Tap on **Main Storage**.
 3. Look for the folder named Android. Note for iPhone Users: While this guide focuses on Android (where file systems are more open), iPhone users can look for similar paths under the "On My iPhone" section of the Files app, though Apple’s encryption is much stricter.

Step 2: Navigating the Data Path
This is where most people get lost. Follow this path exactly:

 
1. Inside the Android folder, click on Data.

 2. You will see a list of folders starting with "com." Look for 1com.audiomack (or com.afmobi.boomplay if you are using Boomplay).


 3. Tap on Files.

 4. Inside Files, look for the folder specifically named Audiomack.


 Step 3: Identifying the "Encrypted" Files

When you enter the final folder, you won't see song titles like "Burnaboy - City Boys.mp3." Instead, you will see a list of files with random numbers like 34545665 or 1102938.


These are your songs! The apps rename them to numbers so your phone’s default music player doesn't find them automatically.

Step 4: The Renaming Trick (Crucial Step)


To make these files playable in your regular music player (like VLC or Samsung Music), you must change their format.


 1. Long-press the numbered file (e.g., 34545665).

 2. Select Rename.

 3. Change the name to the actual title of the song and  manually add .mp3 at the end.


   Example: Rename 34545665 to MyFavoriteSong.mp3.


 4. Save the changes.

As soon as you add the .mp3 extension, the file icon will change to a music note, and it will become playable!


 Step 5: Moving to SD Card
Now that the file is renamed and recognized as music:

 1. Select the file and click Move or Copy.

 2. Navigate back to your SD Card storage.

 3. Create a folder named "My Music" and Paste it there.

 Q1: Why can't I see the "Data" folder on Android 13 or 14?

Google increased security in newer Android versions. If Cx File Explorer asks for "Special Access" to the Android/Data folder, click "Allow" or "Use this folder." If it still doesn't show, you may need to connect your phone to a PC to see these files.


 Q2: Will this delete the song from my Audiomack app?


If you Copy the file, it stays in both places. If you Move it, Audiomack might not be able to play it offline anymore because the source file is gone. I recommend "Copying" first.


 Q3: Does this work for all music apps?
Most apps like Boomplay and Audiomack use this "Data" folder method. 


However, apps like Spotify and Apple Music encrypt their files so heavily that even renaming them won't make them playable.


Q4: Why is the file size so small?
If the file you find is only a few KBs, it is just a "thumbnail" or a "cache" file.


 Make sure you are looking for the files that are 3MB to 10MB in size.
